Everest Forms provides built-in tools that allow you to export forms as JSON files, import previously saved forms, migrate forms from supported plugins, and import entries when needed.

Export Forms in Everest Forms
Exporting forms is useful when you want to create a backup, move a form to another website, or reuse the same form structure elsewhere.
In Everest Forms, forms can be exported in JSON format.
- Go to Everest Forms → Tools
- Click on the Export tab
- Select the form you want to export
- Click the export button
- Download the generated JSON file
Import Forms in Everest Forms
If you’ve previously exported a form or received a JSON file from another site, you can easily import it into Everest Forms.
- Go to Everest Forms → Tools
- Click on the Import tab
- Upload the exported JSON file
- Click the import button to complete the process
Once imported, the form will appear under Everest Forms → All Forms. You can then edit the form, review its settings, and publish it as needed.
Import Form Entries in Everest Forms
In addition to importing form structures, Everest Forms also allows you to import form entries.
However, there’s an important requirement, You must first import the form before importing its entries.
Entries can only be mapped correctly if the corresponding form already exists in Everest Forms.
Steps to Import Entries
- Go to Everest Forms → Tools → Form Migrator
- Make sure the form has already been imported
- Locate the option to import entries
- Upload the submission CSV file that you exported earlier from Everest Forms → Entries.
- Click Map CSV button.
Once the import process is completed, the entries will be available under: Everest Forms → Entries.
Migrate Everest Forms from Other Form Plugins
Everest Forms provides a Form Migrator feature that allows you to migrate forms from supported plugins into Everest Forms. Currently, you can migrate forms from WP Form and Contact Form 7 to Everest Forms.
This feature is useful if you:
- Are switching from another form builder
- Want to consolidate all forms under Everest Forms
- Need to move existing forms without rebuilding them manually
To migrate a form:
- Go to Form Migrator settings
- Click on the dropdown menu to view supported external form plugins
- If a supported plugin is not installed, its status will appear as “Not Installed”
- Select the plugin that is installed and from which you want to migrate forms (for example, WP Form)
- Then, you will see a list of forms created with that plugin
- Select the required forms and click “Import Selected Forms” for bulk import
- Or click “Import Forms” beside an individual form to import it separately
Once the import process is complete, the migrated forms will appear under Everest Forms → All Forms.
Importing Form Entries After Migration
The Import Entry option becomes available only after the form has been successfully migrated.
To import entries:
- First, import the form using the Form Migrator
- Return to the Form Migrator section
- Use the Import Entry option to import the corresponding entries
